The MTD 01 base, part of Tabula\u2019s MT modular collection of metal bases designed by architect Tavano to work with the various tops regardless of size, has won the Big See Product Design Award 2023.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nWhen designing MTD 01, Tavano was mindful of the inconsistent dimensions of the tops, their often considerable weight, and their extraordinary uniqueness. The bases he created provide the tables with great stability and weight-bearing capacity, while complementing \u2013 but never overpowering \u2013 the natural beauty of the board.\u2028This metal base with a modular structure withstands the various stresses through a combination of differently sized sheets, facing in different directions. No matter the size, the structure is extremely stable, yet also lightweight and never cumbersome to the eye. The MT collection of bases<\/strong><\/a> features four colour options ideally suited to any setting (gold, burgundy, black and white) which highlight the wood\u2019s natural grain and texture. It can also be made in other colours upon request.<\/p>\n
