Each piece of Tabula design hides an incomparable story rooted in nature and the tree from which its wood is derived. Often, we are able to recover and tell you about it.
Many creations are therefore distinguished by a plaque with a QR code.
There can be various information and curiosities: from which corner of the world the tree comes from, when it was born, and what it “saw” before arriving in our workshop as a marvelous natural board.
A PRECISE NARRATIVE REQUIRES IN-DEPTH RESEARCH
To provide you with as much detail as possible, we draw from various sources: from the landowner who witnessed its growth, to the forest ranger who monitored its growth, to the lumberjack who recovered and sawed the trunk. Other elements may emerge from observations and instrumental studies at the sawmill, where the trunk is brought and transformed into boards. Sometimes we gather information online, consult official documents, or conduct laboratory analyses to determine the age of fossil woods using carbon 14.
