FOSSIL WOOD BECOMES A DESIGN MASTERPIECE.
Fossil wood is a natural, one of a kind raw material, which has come to us over thousands of years.Only patient and skilled hands can give it new life and transform it into a work of art and design dedicated to those who can appreciate its incomparable beauty.
FOSSIL WOOD: A TREASURE OF NATURE
“When searching for special woods for our creations, it is incredibly rare and exciting to find Oak, Ash, and Elm tree trunks fossilized by immersion. Nature has preserved them “hidden” for millennia, and chance has brought them to light in their exceptional beauty.
These are trees that fell into the waters of rivers thousands of years ago and remained at the bottom, in their beds.
Covered by layers of sediment and deprived of oxygen, their wood was able to begin the process of mineralization. It is the changing course of some rivers that brings those ancient and precious trunks back to the surface. And makes us rediscover them. To make our creations even more unique and precious, we only select the largest trunks: up to 9 meters long and with a diameter of over 1 meter.”

Witness to a beauty beyond time.
This precious wood, not yet a fossil stone, is a natural material with unique consistency, color, and texture that cannot be reproduced artificially. The darker the color, the older the wood: dark brown-grey logs can be thousands of years old. Each table is accompanied by a radiocarbon dating certificate that attests to the age of the tree from which it was derived. From extraction to seasoning, to manual polishing, each unique piece requires years of work. We then treat this noble material with special water-based wax and beeswax oils that protect and allow it to ``breathe.``
