Plane Tree
With pink-brown hues, it is a compact, semi-heavy wood.

Platanus is a genus that includes 6-8 species of deciduous trees of majestic size native to Europe, Asia, and North America.
In young specimens, it has an erect trunk and a pyramidal canopy, which over time becomes round. It reaches 250 years and heights of 30 m (about 98 feet). Its gray-brown bark is smooth and thin, peeling off rapidly to reveal green patches. Due to its monumental nature, adaptability to any climate, and resistance to smog, the plane tree is highly valued for urban decoration.
Sycamore wood is moderately heavy and hard. It is prone to warping and cracking when drying. It takes on a matte finish and polishes well, and features a distinctive, leather-like grain.
It is used for interiors, veneers, and furniture, where figured sections are highly sought after, but also for packaging, tool handles, and sports equipment.
