Elm
Wood with beautiful grain patterns, as well as being very resistant to shocks.

Native to Europe, Asia, or North America depending on the species, it is a tree commonly found in the countryside, parks, and urban greenery. The wood was used since Roman times as a support for vines, so much so that it became a symbol of support and protection in the Christian religion. Thanks to its elegance and durability, the elm has become a protagonist in parks and the lining of boulevards and streets. Unfortunately, its spread has been limited in recent times by Dutch elm disease, a condition that nearly wiped it out from the landscape until the 1990s, when, thanks to protection programs, the elm began to be cultivated again.
Thanks to its beautiful grain, as well as its toughness and impact resistance, elm is highly valued as a wood for making furniture, parquet flooring, and interior architecture elements. It is also used in shipbuilding and to create valuable decorative objects.
