From a trunk of Elm about 60-70 years old, protected by river silt for another 600 years, transformed by a very slow process of fossilization, seven planks were obtained, two of which are joined to form a table of the Plurima type. When the original tree was growing in the open air, on the banks of the Sava River, almost all of Europe was covered by forests. Leonardo Da Vinci, Lorenzo De Medici, Christopher Columbus probably had not yet been born, and Gutenberg had not yet invented the printing press.
The transformation of the wood has increased its hardness and given it a gray-green hue, with pearly nuances that blend with the original veins, creating a unique emotion. The signs of time on the surface have been filled with matte transparent resin inserts, which keep them visible, indeed highlight the uniqueness of the fossil wood: from the depths of the past, a work of art created by Nature.
